GREENVILLE, N.C. – UAB Baseball (14-10, 1-2) took the series finale over East Carolina (15-9-1, 2-1) on Sunday afternoon by a score of 11-4. The win for the Blazers is their second in Greenville all-time, and their first since 2003.
For the third straight game, UAB got out front first in the first inning. The Blazers got the action started with two outs in the inning thanks to back-to-back walks. Brady Waugh singled through the right side to score Landon Beaver to put UAB up, 1-0.
Four more runs would cross for the Green and Gold in the second inning. Wesley Helms led the inning off with a solo shot for his fourth home run of the season.
