Athletic Communications
The UAB Athletic Communications Office helps promote the day-to-day successes of UAB Athletics, its student-athletes and coaches. The Athletic Communications Office serves as the liaison between UAB student-athletes and coaches and the media.
All coach or player interviews must be coordinated through the Athletic Communications Office. Media is forbidden to contact coaches or student-athletes without the permission and knowledge of the Athletic Communications Office. Interview requests will be met in a timely fashion based on coach and player availability.

Credentials:
Media planning to attend UAB Football home games should apply for credentials at www.sportssystems.com/uab. Web-based media sites affiliated with established, nationally-recognized news-gathering organizations are eligible for media credentials. Online media with an emphasis on recruiting of potential student-athletes, that meet the above qualification can request one (1) credential if the purpose of attending is writing a game/event recap. Credentials will not be granted to any online agency operating sites that are in any way affiliated with gambling. Nor will credentials be granted to “freelance” or “fan-based” sites, or fan podcasts that are not affiliated with an established news-gathering organization and/or sites whose sole entity is fan-generated message boards that allows the posting of anonymous comments.
