Women’s Tennis Faces UTSA in AAC Championships

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's tennis (14-8, 1-2 AAC) takes on UTSA (18-4, 2-4 AAC) in the first round of the American Athletic Conference Women's Tennis Championship on Thursday, April 17. First serve is set for 9 a.m. CT at the Leftwich Tennis Center in Memphis, Tennessee.
The Blazers head into the tournament as the No. 9 seed, while the Roadrunners are the eighth seed. The winner of the first round will move on to the quarterfinals to face the No. 1 seed, Florida Atlantic.
Kristyna Damaskova leads the team with a 15-4 singles record, while Mackenzie White is following behind at 12-6. Vanessa Mellynchuk is 12-7, Enya Ratkic is 11-5 and Nera Tesankic is 11-8 on the season.
