Women’s Tennis Hosts Louisiana Tech

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis team (3-5) hosts Louisiana Tech (6-2) on Sunday, Feb. 28. First serve is set for 2 p.m. CT. Fans will be able to receive free t-shirts, snacks and coffee.
Last Friday, the Blazers fell 4-3 to Kennesaw State. Kristyna Damaskova and Klara Kajabova earned a win on Court 1. Julia Caffarena and Antonia Ende earned UAB the doubles point on Court 3. Gresi Bajri and Caffarena were able to grab singles wins on Courts 4 and 5 for the Green and Gold.
Louisiana Tech was ranked No. 64 last week in the ITA rankings but fell out of the rankings this week. Last Saturday the Bulldogs defeated Stephen F. Austin 6-1.
