Baseball Drops Game Two Against Charlotte

Charlotte once again was able to score early, as they put up two runs in the 1st. Two hits by Carson Bayne and AJ Bianchina were able to score those runs. The Blazers stepped up and added a run of their own in the 2nd. Peyton Puckett hit his first home run of the season to right field.
Charlotte exploded for runs in the 4th and 6th innings where they did most of their damage. The Blazers got two quick outs, but then gave up three walks to load the bases. Two doubles and a wild pitch scored four runs in the 4th for Charlotte. UAB once again answered in the 4th with two runs. It was a triple by Tyler Waugh that scored Mayes White and Gavin Lewis Jr. The 49ers led 6-3 after the 4th.
A very long 6th inning gave Charlotte six more runs on five hits. Two home runs by Carson Bayne and Spencer Nolan, were able to score four of the runs. The other two came on a single by Dante DeFranco. UAB answered, but not until the 7th inning when Tyler Harrington drove in Lewis Jr. The score after seven innings 12-4.
UAB and Charlotte combined for four 9th inning runs, in a 45 minute inning. Two singles and a sacrifice fly scored three runs for the 49ers. The Green and Gold were able to muster up one more run when David Harris pinch hit and drove home Jax Yoxtheimer. Yoxtheimer his a triple to get on 3rd.
