UAB Women’s Tennis Hosts Lipscomb at Hoover Met

BIRMINGHAM – After the successful home opener at the Hoover Met on Feb 12, the UAB women's tennis team will return to its home court on March 4 to host Lipscomb. The match will begin at noon.

UAB LATELY
The Blazers (6-4) have won four of their last five matches including a 7-0 shutout against Alabama A&M on Feb. 23. In dual matches, UAB is 40-27 (.597) in singles and 16-9 (.640) in doubles.

LIPSCOMB LATELY
The Bisons (3-6) have dropped five straight matches dating back to Jan. 21.

UAB AND LIPSCOMB HISTORY
The two teams began play in 2017 and split the first two matches. UAB has won the last two matches and lead the series 3-1.

LAST TIME AGAINST LIPSCOMB
After winning the doubles point, UAB took four of the six singles matches in its 5-2 victory over Lipscomb in Nashville on Feb. 19, 2022.

COMMON OPPONENTS
UAB and Lipscomb have six common opponents: Alabama A&M, Belmont, Georgia State, Middle Tennessee, Samford and WKU.
