UAB Women’s Tennis Defeats Lipscomb 5-2

HOOVER, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team won its second straight match on Saturday after its 5-2 victory over Lipscomb at the Hoover Met.
The Blazers (7-4) starting things off by winning the doubles point. Sydney Clarke and Maggie White took Court 1 winning 6-3. The decider was on Court 3 when Enya Ratkic and Vanessa Mellynchuk won in a breaker.
In singles, Clarke, Ratkic and Mackenzie White all won in straight sets on Courts 3, 4 and 6, respectively. Adela Wasserbauerova won in a breaker on Court 2.
Up next, the Blazers remain at the Hoover Met to face Jacksonville State on March 9 at 1 p.m. The Gamecocks (9-3) have dropped their last 18 matches against the Blazers dating back to 1993.
