UAB Women’s Tennis Falls to No. 32 Florida State 5-0

HOOVER, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team fell to No. 32 Florida State 5-0 at the Hoover Met on Saturday afternoon.
Although the Blazers (7-7) fell behind when the Seminoles won the doubles point, Sydney Clarke and Maggie White were tied at 4-4 on Court 1 when the point was decided.
In singles, FSU (8-6) took four of the six matches. In an unfinished match on Court 1, Maggie White was leading 7-6, 3-2 with the No. 70 player in the country, Anna Arkadianou. Both Annalisa Smith and Clarke split the first two sets on Courts 2 and 4 before falling in the third. Enya Ratkic battled, but dropped the the first set 7-5 and was tied 4-4 in the second when the match was decided.
Up next is the Conference USA opener against UTSA on March 19 at noon. The match is schedule to take place at the Hoover Met. Be sure to check the social media accounts and website for any changes to tomorrow's match.
