TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - On the eve of its home opener, the UAB women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision at Alabama on Saturday afternoon.
In doubles, Maggie White and Sydney Clarke won on Court 1, 6-2. However, the Crimson Tide took the matches on Courts 2 and 3.
In singles, Alabama won all six matches in straight sets, but not without a struggle. Both Adela Wasserbauerova and Maggie White fell in the second set 7-5.
Up next, UAB hosts Georgia State in the home opener at the Hoover Met Tennis Courts. The match begins at noon. There will be free t-shirts & pizza for fans. Postmatch join us at Brock's Gap Brewing & receive at 10% discount off menu items. The Kensingtons will be performing at 3 p.m. Admission is free.
