BIRMINGHAM β The UAB baseball team dropped an 8-1 decision to Charlotte in the second of a three game series at Hayes Stadium on Saturday afternoon.

Darryl Buggs tallied UAB's lone RBI with a single in the second inning, but Charlotte plated two runs in the bottom of the inning, then three in the sixth and three in the eighth to claim the victory.

The win secures the series for Charlotte as the 49ers improve to 22-16 overall and 7-10 in C-USA play, while UAB falls to 23-15 overall and 8-9 in league play.
