UAB Women’s Soccer Hosts Montevallo in Exhibition Match on Thursday

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's soccer team will host Montevallo in an exhibition match at BBVA Field on Thursday night. Kickoff will be at 7 p.m.
ABOUT UAB 🐲
UAB finished the Fall season 1-1-0. On Oct. 17, the Blazers defeated Mercer 2-1 in Macon, Ga, but fell to Georgia State on Oct. 28 2-0 in Atlanta.
In the two Fall season games, Kristen Goodroe and Regan Kommor scored goals for the Blazers, while Morgan Halliwill, Erika Manfre and Jessica Wheeler tallied assists. Keeper duties were split three ways from Eve Beyer, Anika Toth and Sarah Francis Adair.
ABOUT MONTEVALLO 🦅
The Falcons, who play Division II in the Gulf South Conference, are coming off a 14-4-4 2019 season. MU were crowned 2019 GSC champions and earned a berth in the NCAA Championship as a No. 4 seed. They fell 2-1 to No. 5 seed Nova Southeastern. The Falcons return 2019 leading scorer and First Team All-Conference selection Romee Contreras who led MU in goals, assists and points (8-10-26).

BBVA Field will accommodate fans with social distancing measures in place.
Fans will be asked to practice social distancing and sit in available seats. Masks are required at all times per state and county ordinance.
