Women’s Soccer Opens American Championship against UTSA

BIRMINGHAM – Coming off a regular season finale victory to earn the No. 4 seed in the American Championships, the UAB women's soccer team (7-5-6, 4-3-3) opens postseason play against No. 5 seed UTSA (8-5-5, 4-3-3) on Monday, Nov. 3. Kickoff is set for 4 p.m. CT in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
SERIES HISTORY
The Blazers leads the all-time series 4-2-4 with the last match taking place in Birmingham on Sept. 25, 2025. The match ended in a 1-1 draw.
LAST TIME OUT FOR THE BLAZERS
UAB defeated North Texas 3-2 to close out the regular season on Thursday. Lailah Stewart, Abbey Burns and Caitlin Keeling all scored for the Blazers. Burns assisted Stewart and Keeling on their goals, while Lauren Lucero had an assist on Burns' goal.
