In 2012, Hopper guided the UAB pitching staff to its first ever Conference USA Tournament Title and a spot in the NCAA Tournament, the school’s first since 1991. Hopper saw three pitchers earned All Conference USA Tournament honors in Michael Busby (MVP) and Chase Mallard.
