UAB welcomes 19 newcomers to the roster this fall consisting of three 4-year transfers, 10 coming from the junior college ranks, and six true freshmen. Alex Dupuy (LSU Eunice) and Baylor Roberts (Saltillo HS) look to add immediate impact to the lineup in their first seasons in the program.
-
The Blazers return 17 players from the 2025 roster. Wesley Helms and Alex Cheeseman are the lone two position players who played in at least 70% of the games from 2025. Helms returns for his senior season after leading UAB in hits in conference play and also leads returning players in six different offensive categories. Cheeseman leads all returners in stolen bases and is second among returners in hits and runs scored. John Paul Head and Landon Beaver look to have breakout years in their sophomore campaigns.
-
On the mound for the Green and Gold, Chase Ingram leads the returners in strikeouts and innings pitched. Brendan Conner saw time in multiple roles last season and will look to build on his success in 2026.
UAB will conclude the fall season October 28-30 as the Blazers will host the Green and Gold Fall World Series at Young Memorial Field. The series is free and open to the public. Game times on each day are TBD.
