Graeser Earns American Conference Honorable Mention

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's soccer had a player notch a weekly honor, as officials from the league office announced on Monday that Abby Graeser earned honorable mention.
Graeser, a junior defender, played a huge role in helping UAB take down ULM 5-0. She added three assists to the stat sheet, which was the first time in her collegiate career she recorded assists. Avery Berryman was able to score the first goal of the night off a well-placed ball from Graeser in the 25th minute.
In the second half Graeser found Jette Zimmer for a goal to put the Blazers up 3-0 for her second assist of the match. Four minutes later Graeser found Zimmer again to put UAB up 4-0 in the 82nd minute. Lailah Stewart gave the Blazers their fifth goal of the night off a penalty kick.
Up next, the Blazers will be back at home to host Southern Miss on Sunday, August 31. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. CT.
