Women’s Tennis Faces North Texas and Tulane

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's tennis (11-5) travels to North Texas (6-8) on Friday, March 21 and then faces Tulane (8-6) on Saturday for its first two conference matches of the season. First serve is set for 2:30 p.m. CT on Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday.
The Blazers blanked Eastern Kentucky 7-0 last Wednesday. UAB opened the match by taking the doubles point. Vanessa Mellynchuk and Mackenzie White earned a victory on Court 1. Maria Paz Ospina and Enya Ratkic were able to claim a win on Court 3.
UAB was able to capture all six singles points to secure the victory. Mellynchuk earned her 11th singles win on Court 1 in a three-set thriller, while Damaskova claimed her 13th win in singles on Court 2. White, Ratkic and Nera Tesankic all claimed wins while Ospina claimed her first win of the season.
