Women’s Tennis Faces North Florida and Hosts Belmont

BIRMINGHAM – UAB women's tennis (3-2) faces North Florida (0-3) in Auburn, Alabama on Saturday, February 8, then returns home on Sunday, February 9 to host Belmont (1-0). For both matches, first serve is set for 11 a.m. CT.

The Blazers defeated North Alabama 4-3 on Tuesday. The Lions took the doubles point on Courts 1 and 3 to start the match.

The Blazers bounced back in singles taking four of the six courts. Vanessa Mellynchuk earned her fourth consecutive singles victory and moves to 4-1 on the season. Kristyna Damaskova earned a straight set win on Court 3. Mackenzie White claimed a three-set match on Court 5, while Nera Tesankic clinched the match with a three-set thriller on Court 6.
