Get to Know Men’s Basketball Transfer Ahmad Robinson

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Get to know UAB men's basketball senior transfer Ahmad Robinson. Robinson is a point guard who transferred from Mercer, where he averaged 16.9 points and five assists per game. This marks Ahmad's fifth school, including two junior colleges and two Division I programs.
Q: What was your path to UAB?
Robinson: "I went to Roselle Catholic, which is a prestigious basketball school. I ended up going to JUCO, and that's where my career really took off. I was talking to the coaching staff, Coach AK and Coach Cross, and they really believed in me."
Q: Tell us about your skillset.
Robinson: "I feel like I do everything. I can go right or left, finish, and shoot off the dribble. I do all of those things to the best of my ability, that's what I focus on."
Q: How do you feel about the game of basketball?
Robinson: "I really do love basketball. Honestly, I eat, sleep, and dream about basketball. My brother and cousin were always competitive, and we would be outside for hours playing one-on-one to 100."
Q: What would Kobe Bryant have to say about your game?
Robinson: "Super tough question. You never know what Kobe would say, but the only thing I would hope he would say is that I played hard."

GROUP RATES AND FAN EXPERIENCE PACKAGES NOW AVAILABLE
Individual and corporate groups can plan a memorable experience during any of UAB's home events at Bartow Arena this season by filling out the UAB Group Ticket Request Form. Fan experience packages and discounted group tickets are available for a minimum purchase of 15 tickets, and fan experiences at Bartow Arena are available at any home basketball game on a first come, first served basis throughout the season.
Discounted group rates are available for both men's and women's basketball games and pricing is based on the size of the pre-purchased group. This season, UAB Athletics will offer unique fan experiences for groups including a spirit tunnel, sideline warm-up watch, group photo at center court, post-game free throws, and videoboard recognition, among others.
