6'11 Center, Kaleb Davis Signs with UAB Men’s Basketball

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy has announced the addition of Kaleb Davis out of Memphis, Tennessee.
"Excited to have Kaleb join our program," Kennedy said. "He is an impressive rim protector who adds additional size and athleticism to our front court. Kaleb plays with a high motor which allows him to impact the game on both sides of the ball. We look forward to helping him continue in his growth as a Blazer."
Davis, a 6-foot-11 center from Memphis Tenn., spent his high school career at Houston High School. Over his high school career he averaged 10+ points, 7.6 rebounds, and shot 61% from the field. The underrated big man was a leader on a good Houston High school team, earning All-State, All-Region, and Regional Defensive Player of the Year honors his senior year. Davis received interest from a number of big programs in the month of May including NC State, Villanova, Seton Hall, Texas A&M.
UAB now has five players standing at least 6-foot-7 and four players measuring at least 6-foot-10, making the '26-27 Blazers the second tallest team in UAB history with an average height of just over 78 inches (78.1), which is 6-foot-6 per player. The tallest UAB team was the '88-89 team, which was Andy Kennedy's sophomore season, that averaged 78.2 inches.
He becomes the 12th addition to UAB's 2026 signing class, joining high school prospects Jakobi Sharp and Korie Corbett; junior college transfers Tim Holliday, Shah Hall, and Matt Mbole; and Division I transfers Jeremy Elyzee, Deuce Jones, Justyn Fernandez, TJ Caldwell, Aleks Alston, and Elijah Duval.
