UAB Men’s Basketball Conference Schedule Revealed

BIRMINGHAM – The American Conference revealed the UAB men's basketball conference slate for the 2024-25 season on Thursday afternoon.
UAB opens AAC play on New Year's Eve in Denton, Texas where the Blazers will face off with the Mean Green. Tulsa (Jan. 4) will travel to Bartow Arena for the conference home opener before Tulane (Jan. 7) comes to town.
The Blazers will then open a stretch with four of five games on the road in the Sunshine State for a pair of games on the road against Florida Atlantic (Jan. 12) and South Florida (Jan. 15). Following a home contest with UTSA (Jan. 21), UAB will make road trips to Memphis (Jan. 26) and Tulsa (Jan. 29).
A quick two-game homestand opens the month of February for the Blazers as Charlotte (Feb. 1) and North Texas (Feb. 3) come to Bartow Arena.
After a week off, UAB will travel to East Carolina (Feb. 11) for the first time since 2013 before returning home to face South Florida (Feb. 16). The Blazers will return to Rice (Feb. 19) for the first time since the 2022-23 season before hosting Temple (Feb. 23) for the first time since 1993. UAB will travel to Wichita State (Feb. 27) to close the month of February.
The Blazers will close the regular season with three games in the month of March, beginning with a matchup with Memphis (March 2) at Bartow Arena. UAB will then host Florida Atlantic (March 6) for the final home game before traveling to Tulane (March 9) for the regular season finale.
The American Conference Tournament is set for March 12-16 in Fort Worth, Texas at Dickies Arena.
UAB will look to return to the NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years for the first time since 2006. The Blazers return three of their top four scorers from last year's team including Yaxel Lendeborg, Efrem "Butta" Johnson and Alejandro Vasquez while also returning fifth-year senior Tony Toney and senior forward Christian Coleman.
