UAB Men’s Basketball to Play in 2024 U.S Virgin Islands Paradise Jam

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball is set to compete in the 2024 U.S Virgin Islands Paradise Jam from November 22-25, 2024. The Blazers play in the first game of the tournament against Longwood on Friday, November 22 at 11:30 a.m. CT. Each contest will be played in St. Thomas at the University of Virgin Islands Elridge Blake Sports and Fitness Center.
The rest of the field includes George Washington, Illinois State, Kansas State, Liberty, Louisiana, and McNeese State. Three teams in the field reached the NCAA Tournament last season, including the Blazers while Kansas State made an appearance in the NIT.
UAB will play three games at the tournament with one day off. Following the matchup against Longwood, the Blazers will face either Illinois State or McNeese State. All games will be streamed on ESPN's national broadcasting platform.
The tournament has provided fan packages that provide accommodations for the duration of the tournament at The Westin Beach Resort and Spa at Frenchman's Reef. Fan packages are listed here. All packages also include tickets to all tournament games, transportation to and from games, a tournament gift, as well as dedicated tournament staff at The Westin Beach Resort & Spa at Frenchman's Reef to assist you.
The Blazers last captured an MTE crown during the 2022-23 season after taking down South Florida and Georgia in the Sunshine Slam. Last season, UAB competed in the 2023 Asheville Championship where the Blazers fell to Clemson at the buzzer, but picked up a win over Maryland.
UAB looks to return to the NCAA Tournament in 2024-25 in the program's fifth year under Andy Kennedy. The Blazers have won 101 games over that time, tied for 10th among all Division I programs.
2024-25 SEASON TICKETS
Season tickets for the 2024-25 UAB men's basketball season are now available. Season ticket packages will feature all home games during the 2024-25 basketball season and provide the most cost-effective way to attend games at Bartow Arena. Fans may purchase new season tickets or request more information on season ticket options here. Season ticket renewal applications will be available in the coming month leading into the September 1, 2024 men's basketball priority seat deadline.
