Baseball Travels to Florida for Series Against FAU

Birmingham - UAB will travel to Boca Raton, Florida for one out of their last three conference series. Florida Atlantic University awaits in a very tight American Athletics Conference. Just two games separate the two teams with FAU sitting in 3rd and UAB in 9th.
The Owls come into the series sitting at 22-20 winning three out of six of their conference series. They also have notable single game wins over Miami and Vanderbilt. Most recently, FAU battled to a 8-10 loss at Florida. Tulane, Wichita State, and East Carolina got the best of FAU before they won their first series since March 30th.
Series History
FAU leads the series 18-13 with the last game coming in 2023. The Owls won the series in Birmingham two games to one. FAU scored 29 runs in the series while allowing 18. The Owls have won five out of the last eight games including four out of the last five. The last two series in Boca Raton were won by UAB, winning four out of six.
Scouting FAU
Four players have better than a .275 batting average, while Christian Adams leads hitting .317. Adams also leads the team with eight homers and 51 runs scored. FAU has four shutouts and only allows 8.48 hits per game, which is 35th in the country. The Owls do not hit a lot of triples and doubles, ranking 276th and 274th out of 295 teams. CJ Williams leads the team with a 2.71 ERA which is 3rd best in the American and 40th in the country. Williams also leads the team in strikeouts with 60. Danny Trehey is a regular reliever appearing in 19 innings.
UAB
Tyler Harrington has played four of the last five games hitting .500 with nine RBIs. Logan Braunschweig has also played very well as of late. He has hit .450 with five RBIs and a stolen base. The Blazers are looking to continue winning ways with six wins in their last 10 games.
