The hot bats continued as UAB scored eight runs for the 4th time in six games. UAB put up three runs in the 1st inning, thanks to three walks and two hits. Peyton Puckett grounded out to score Nick Hollifield, while Brayton Brown and Tyler Waugh recorded RBI walks.
Memphis walked a total of nine batters and hit two in today's game. This contributed to the 12 UAB runs. In the 3rd inning, UAB scored another four runs on five hits. Tyler Waugh put down a great sacrifice bunt to score Logan Bruanschweig. Mayes White and Peyton Puckett both hit doubles to score two runs. Then Harrington added to the hit list after he singled to left field to score White. UAB led 7-0 after three innings.
A couple of singles and a hit by pitch scored Riley Davis and Pierre Seals. Memphis has some momentum after scoring those two runs in the 4th. The Tigers left two on base in the 5th and eight in the game, after hitting two singles in the 5th inning.
UAB put another crooked number on the board when they put up a five spot in the 6th. Four walks and three hits scored the five runs. Nick Hollifield hit a single to right field to score Darryl Buggs. Then Logan Braunschweig scored on a wild pitch. Peyton Puckett stepped up with bases loaded and two outs. He hit a bases clearing double to left field to extend the lead to 10. UAB led 12-2 heading into the 7th.
John Luke Marlin came in to relieve starter Blayze Berry. Marlin struck out one and popped up the other two batters to earn the victory for UAB.
