Baseball to Host Second Game at Regions Field

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB baseball team will play their final game at Regions Field in 2024. UAB will face Auburn for the second time of the year on Tuesday night.
UAB comes off of a series sweep at the hands of the #14 ranked East Carolina Pirates.
The Blazers have struggled hitting the last few weeks only hitting a team batting average of .196.
Auburn has started 1-8 in conference play, coming off a series sweep to Texas A&M. Auburn scored 24 runs in the series but were unable to secure any wins. The Tigers have series wins against Austin Peay and Eastern Kentucky.
The two teams met back in February with Auburn besting the Blazers 2-7. UAB and Auburn played two games last year splitting the series 1-1. In the first game Auburn won 4-1 on a 4-3 hitting advantage. In the second game Tyler Waugh scored in the bottom of the 9th inning to give the Blazers a 6-5 win. Waugh went 3 for 4 hitting one double and two singles. Auburn owns the series vs UAB with 34 wins and 5 losses.
Brooks House will start on the mound for the Blazers Tuesday night. House has nine appearances with 16.2 innings pitched and a 6.48 ERA.
Starting for Auburn will be right handed pitcher Christian Herberholz. Herberholz has pitched 19.1 innings with seven appearances and a 5.12 ERA.
Familiar Faces
Carson Myers and Christian Hall both transferred from UAB to Auburn last year. Both players have already made an impact as Hall started 14 games this season and Meyers has pitched 24.2 innings.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN+. First pitch for Tuesday is set for 5 p.m.
