Olivia Tindell, Zaylen Tucker, Madeline Flammia, and Charlee Bennett will join the team in the fall of 2025.
"I am excited to welcome this first class as a staff at UAB. Our 2025 signing class is an exciting and talented group of proven winners. Each one of them possess different qualities that will help us put together a more athletic team. The competitiveness is a trait that is most evident after speaking with all four players," Smartt said. "I am grateful they chose UAB and they are committed to helping Blazer softball be the best in the American Athletic Conference. I am convinced this class will help fill important needs on the field, but I am more impressed by the level of passion for UAB that has been evident during their recruiting process and the coaching transition this past August. I am excited about the direction our recruiting has taken and look forward to future success on the field".
