Women’s Tennis Opens 2024 Season at Lipscomb, Belmont

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB women's tennis team opens the 2024 season this weekend, Jan. 13-14, with away matches at Lipscomb and at Belmont.
The Blazers open the year at Lipscomb on Jan. 13 at 3 p.m., and then plays at Belmont on Sunday at 1 p.m. UAB defeated Lipscomb last season 5-2 en route to nine wins in 2023.
UAB is coming off a fantastic fall in which freshman Klara Kajabova captured the singles title and Vanessa Mellynchuck and Adela Wasserbauerova won the double title at the Roberta Allison Fall Classic.
Following the opening weekend in Nashville, UAB heads to Tuscaloosa for a match with the Crimson Tide on Oct. 20.
