Men’s Golf Readies for C-USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's golf team begins its quest for conference supremacy on Monday, April 24, as the Blazers take to the course for the Conference USA Championship at Texarkana Country Club.
Head Coach Matt Whall and the Blazers will play 54 holes of stroke play from Monday to Wednesday and the top four teams after stroke play enter match play on Thursday to decide a champion.
UAB will field a team consisting of Khavish Varadan, Alfie Fox, Ethan Hagood, Cole Imig and Paul Bruce. The Blazers are paired with Florida Atlantic in the first round and Bruce will tee off first on the back nine at 8:08 a.m. CST.
The Blazers have made NCAA Regionals each of the last two years and will need to win this week's C-USA Championship to make in three in a row. UAB has not won the C-USA title since 2008 but has made match play three of the last four years.
