Blazers Pick Up First Victory of the Spring Over Alabama State, 4-0

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The UAB women's tennis team earned its first victory of the Spring 2023 season on Friday afternoon, defeating Alabama State 4-0.
UAB opened up by winning the doubles point. Sydney Clarke and Maggie White won on Court 1, 6-3. Enya Ratic and Vanessa Mellynchuk also were 6-3 winners on Court 3
In singles, Adela Wasserbauerova, Clarke and Mackenzie White were victorious on Courts 2, 3 and 4 to give UAB the win.
UAB opens its 2023 season at the Hoover Met Feb. 12 at noon vs. Georgia State. Free t-shirts & pizza for fans. Postmatch join us at Brock's Gap Brewing & receive at 10% discount off menu items. The Kensingtons will be performing at 3 p.m.
