Overseas Update: Lexxe Lipsey Excelling in Israel

BIRMINGHAM – Former UAB forward Lexxe Lipsey started her professional career in Israel in January with ASA Tel Aviv of the Israeli Super League.
"I'm really excited to be living out this dream," said Lipsey. "I'm so grateful for the role UAB played in my journey to get here."
Through five games this season, Lipsey has scored five goals including a hat trick against M.K. Ramat Hasharon in her second game as a pro.
Lipsey played three seasons with UAB after transferring from Ohio State in 2019. In 2020, she led C-USA with eight goals, 17 points and 49 shots and was named Conference USA First Team All-Academic Team and C-USA Second Team. In her senior season, she was Conference USA First Second All-Academic Team and C-USA Second Team while leading UAB with 10 points.
Lipsey graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree English in December 2020 and added her MBA in April 2022. She was a member of the Conference USA Commissioner's Honor Roll, UAB Dean's and President's Lists and earned the Conference USA Academic Medal. Additionally, Lipsey was a NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship program recipient and won the Arthur Ashe, Jr. Sports-Scholar Award.
SPRING GAME
UAB will play its only spring home match on Feb. 25 at PNC Field. Kickoff is at 1 P.M. Admission is free.
