BOCA RATON, Fla. – UAB men's soccer (0-7-4, 0-4-1) fell to Florida Atlantic (3-5-3, 2-3-0) on Sunday night in south Florida, 2-0, after a pair of late FAU goals. Noe Garcia led the Blazers with three shots.

The match was tied after the first 45 minutes with each team gaining a handful of chances, but neither side could break through with the first goal of the night.

In the second half, UAB was able to put together a few dangerous chances. Isaac Calderon fired a shot from the edge of the box that hit the crossbar, nearly putting the Blazers ahead.

The Owls were able to pull ahead in the 66^th minute after Tom Abrahamsson found Victor Claudel for the go-ahead goal.

While the Blazers were looking for an equalizer, FAU added a second goal to put the score at 2-0 on a Zach Hassel goal.

UAB had a chance to get on the board in the 89^th minute with a penalty kick, but Garcia's try was off target.

UP NEXT
The Blazers will host Purdue Fort Wayne on Wednesday at PNC Field. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. CT.
