Men's Soccer Falls to Mercer, 3-2

MACON, Ga. – UAB Men's Soccer (2-5-0) took a late lead in the second half, but a pair of goals in the last 20 minutes gave Mercer (3-2-3) a 3-2 victory. The Bears fired each of the last nine shots of the game.
Mercer was able to jump on the board in the first half after the Bears connected on a low cross into the box. The hosts held a 1-0 lead into the break.
The Blazers fought back in the second half. Nathaniel St. Louis added his third goal of the season after Curtis DeLeon took a free kick near the corner and the ball found St. Louis, who tied it up.
UAB jumped in front just two minutes later in the 64th minute when Ohad Buck added his first collegiate goal when St. Louis played him through the Mercer back line and he put it in the back of the net.
Mercer was able to take control of the game late. The Bears equalized the game in the 72nd minute when a cross was played perfectly across the face of the goal to Kadeem Agard, who equalized it. Mercer took the lead with just over eight minutes to go when Michael Ille's left footed shot curved into the left side of the goal.
NOTES
UAB will resume AAC play on the road against Florida Atlantic on Saturday night at 6 p.m. on ESPN+.
