BOCA RATON, Fla. – UAB men's soccer was unable to get the on the board against FAU (2-4-2, 1-0-1 AAC) in the Blazers (2-6-0, 0-2-0 AAC) second conference match of the season. The Owls got on the board late in the second half to take the 1-0 victory.

The keepers were not tested in the first half, as neither team was able to get a shot off through the first 45 minutes. The teams were only able to put two shots on frame apiece throughout the night.

The Owls broke through with only 10 minutes remaining on the clock after a low cross made its way across the face of the goal and Andreas Raisanen tapped it into the back of the net.

UAB was unable to find an equalizer in the final 10 minutes.

NOTES

The all-time series is now tied at 6-6-0.
FAU has won each of the last four meetings between the two teams.
The Blazers' five shots tied for a season low.
Mayno Linares made his first appearance of the season for the Blazers.

UP NEXT
UAB will return home on Friday night against Tulsa at 7 p.m. The Blazers are looking to pick up their first win in AAC play.
