Men’s Soccer Falls to No. 1 Clemson

BIRMINGHAM – UAB Men's Soccer battled with No. 1 Clemson deep into the contest, but the Blazers could not hold off the Tigers' second half surge despite Jack Hudson's 10 saves, falling 2-0.
The Blazers took on an opponent ranked in the top five for the second time in three games. UAB was able to fire off four shots in the first half compared to Clemson's two. Each goalkeeper was able to keep the match scoreless through the first 45 minutes.
Hudson came up with three brilliant saves through the first 10 minutes of the second half, but Clemson was able to get on the board in the 63rd minute after Ousmane Sylla found the back of the net. The Tigers extended the lead in the 81st minute after Tim Ströbeck found Tyler Trimnal with a low cross.
