Zemberyova Joins Slovakian National Team for Pinatar Cup

BIRMINGHAM – UAB's Laura Zemberyova recently represented the Slovakian National Team in the 2022 Pinatar Cup. The three-match event was held in San Pedro del Pinatar, which is a region of Murcia, Spain.
Zemberyova started two of the contests, including Slovakia's 2-0 victory over Poland on Feb. 22. In total, she played 168 minutes in the three matches.
For her international career, which began in 2016, Zemberyova has logged 1,873 minutes in 27 appearances with a pair of goals. Her next match will be April 8 against Finland in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification. The match will be played at Anton Malatinský Stadium in Trnava, Slovakia.
UAB begins its Spring season March 5 against Mississippi State at newly named PNC Field.
