UAB MBB Adds Alejandro Vasquez to Signing Class

BIRMINGHAM – UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy announced the addition of Alejandro Vasquez to the 2022 signing class. Vasquez joins Christian Coleman and KJ Satterfield to make up the three-player class.

Vasquez joins the Blazers from Salt Lake Community College after starting his collegiate career at St. Bonaventure.
During his two years with the Bonnies, he finished in double-figures 10 times, including a 20-point effort against Big Ten foe Rutgers during his freshman season. Over those two seasons, he averaged 5.5 points per game while playing an average of 15 minutes per contest. Vasquez shot 36 percent from beyond the arc, knocking down 45 threes.
This season with NJCAA DI No. 3 Salt Lake CC, he is averaging 17 points and 6.5 rebounds through their first two games.
AK on Vasquez: "We are very pleased that AJ has committed to be a Blazer. He is a strong, versatile guard who can impact the game on both sides of the ball. His experience will allow him to come in and immediately impact our program next season."
