Doubles Dominate at Samford Round Robin #2

BIRMINGHAM - The UAB women's tennis team participated in the Samford Round Robin #2 this past weekend at the Pat M. Courington Tennis Pavilion. In addition to the Blazers and Bulldogs, teams from Lipscomb and Cental Arkansas were playing in the three-day event.
The Blazers doubles team dominated the event, winning five of its six matches.
In singles, Alexandra daSilva won all three of her matches. Adela Wasserbauerova, Mackenzie White and Sydney Clarke won two of three singles matches, while Annalisa Smith picked up one singles victory.
Seven Blazers will be playing the ITA Southern Regionals beginning Oct. 13 through Oct. 17. hosted by LSU in Baton Rouge, La.
