BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team makes the short tip to Samford for the final game of the season on Tuesday, May 18. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. at Joe Lee Griffin Field.
UAB (18-35, 11-21 C-USA) VS. SAMFORD (30-20, 19-8 SoCon)
The Blazers hold the all-time series lead over Samford, 58-31, which dates back to 1983. The Bulldogs won the matchup earlier this season 5-1 in extra innings at Regions Field on March 23.

RHP Tanner Rusk (1-2, 7.78 ERA) vs. LHP Hamp Skinner (3-2, 6.32 ERA)
UAB LATELY
UAB is coming off its final conference meeting of the season versus Marshall in Huntington, W.Va. On the Saturday doubleheader, UAB threw back-to-back shutouts for the first time since 2014.
Colton Schultz leads the team with a .299 batting average, 55 hits, five home runs and second with 34 RBIs. Chandler Simpson and Jess Davis leads Conference USA with 23 stolen bases during the season.
