UAB Extends Winning Streak to Four Matches After 4-2 Victory at Kennesaw State

KENNESAW, Ga. – UAB won its 10th match in its last 11 tries and fourth in a row on Monday afternoon after defeating Kennesaw State 4-2 at Betty Siegel Courts.
The Blazers (12-6) dropped the doubles point, but rebounded by winning four of the decided five singles points. Annalisa Smith won her 10th straight match when she got the Blazers on the board after a 6-3, 6-1 win on Court 6. Sydney Clarke put UAB ahead 2-1 on Court 4 after a 6-3, 60-3 victory.
Dominika Hrabalova won her ninth straight match after a 6-4, 6-3 win on Court 3 and Adela Wasserbauerova got the clincher on Court 2,- 7-5, 7-6 (7-5).
The regular season concludes at George Ward Park on April 10 against Middle Tennessee on Senior Day. Megan Bertrands, Jana Hecking, Hrabalova and student assistant coach Sonia Grzywocz will be honored in a prematch ceremony beginning at 11:45 a.m. The match begins at noon.
