SAN ANTONIO, Texas – Behind a combined 25 hits and four home runs, the UAB softball team clinched its four-game series with a doubleheader sweep over UTSA on Saturday afternoon.
The Blazers (24-17, 11-4 C-USA) opened the day with a come-from-behind 6-2 victory in game one, before cruising to a 9-2 win in game two.
Faith Hegh, Sierra Frazier and Analyse Petree hit back-to-back-to-back home runs, the first time this season UAB has scored three times via the long ball in a single game.
"Two good team wins by all of our players," head coach Joe Guthrie said. "I'm proud for them. We need to be rested and ready to execute again on Championship Sunday. Finish."
GAME ONE: UAB 6, UTSA 2

The Roadrunners added to that lead in the fifth inning, hitting their second solo home run of the game.
UAB got started offensively in the sixth.
Sierra Frazier hit a leadoff double and Analyse Petree followed that up with a double of her own, scoring pinch runner Chloe Bahruth.
Jolie Readeaux tied up the game up at 2 with an RBI single that scored pinch runner Lilly Crowe.
In the bottom of the seventh, Sarah Cespedes was able to get a strikeout before Brooke Davis helped the Blazers turn a double play to end the frame.

Cespedes earned the victory in the circle, allowing no runs, just two hits and striking out five batters.
GAME TWO: UAB 9, UTSA: 2
The Blazers wasted no time getting started in the second game of the doubleheader, with KK Crocker leading it off with a single up the middle.
Hegh was able to plate her with an RBI double down the left field line.
After Petree grounded out to second and advanced Hegh to third, Olszewski singled to second base and Hegh touched home, giving UAB a 2-0 advantage.
