BIRMINGHAM - The UAB baseball team heads to Ruston, La. for a four-game series with No. 17 Louisiana Tech this weekend, April 1-3.
UAB (9-13, 2-2 C-USA) VS. No. 17 LOUISIANA TECH (17-6, 3-1 C-USA)
The Bulldogs hold the all-time series between the two schools, 16-13. The last meeting between the Blazers and Louisiana Tech was a three-game affair March 29-31, 2019 in Ruston, a LA Tech sweep.
SERIES SCHEDULE
Thursday's game is set to begin at 6 p.m., while Friday will feature a seven-inning doubleheader set to begin at 1 p.m. The final game of the series is slated for Sunday, with first pitch set for 2 p.m.

UAB is coming off a series split with Middle Tennessee in its first Conference USA series of the campaign. The Blazers claimed victory in game one, 8-0, before the Blue Raiders evened the series in game two with an 11-9 win. UAB won game three, 8-5, but dropped the series-capper, 3-1.
LOUISIANA TECH LATELY
The Bulldogs face UAB after winning its C-USA-opening series at Southern Miss. LA Tech won game one, 3-2, before dropping the second game to the Golden Eagles, 14-6. Louisiana Tech claimed victory in games three and four, winning 4-0 and 8-7, respectively.

Chandler Simpson ranks seventh in the league in batting average (.368), while also coming in at third in stolen bases with nine. Jess Davis sits in second in Conference USA in stolen bases with 12 and has scored the third-most runs in the conference (24) and ranks eighth in hits (29).
