UAB Women's Tennis Defeats LA Tech 4-2

HATTIESBURG, Miss. - After dropping the singles point, UAB came back to win four of the five decided singles points in its 4-2 victory over Louisiana Tech on Saturday.
Jana Hecking and Sydney Clarke picked up a win on Court 2 in doubles, but it was the Lady Techsters who came with the point.
The Blazers (9-6, 1-1 C-USA) evened the score after Adela Wasserbauerova's 6-2, 6-4 win on Court 2 and took the lead on Megan Bertrands 6-0, 6-0 shutout on Court 5. Tech tied the match 2-2 after winning on Court 1. Dominika Hrabalova put UAB back in the lead on Court 3 after a 7-5, 6-2 win. The clincher came from Clarke on Court 4 with a 7-6, 6-3 victory.
Annalisa Smith split her first two sets and was tied 1-1 in the third set when the match was decided.
UAB is back on the road next weekend when they face WKU (2-10, 1-2 C-USA) in Bouwling Green, Ky. on March 27. The next home match is April 10 against Middle Tennessee.
