UAB Baseball Opens Eight-Game Home Stand with Indiana State

BIRMINGHAM — The UAB baseball team begins an eight-game home stand when it welcomes Indiana State for a three-game series, March 19-21.
UAB (6-8, 0-0 CUSA) VS. INDIANA STATE (9-5, 0-0 MVC) SERIES REVIEW
The series marks the first ever meeting between the two teams.

Friday – RHP Riley Davis (1-1, 3.13 ERA) vs. LHP Geremy Guerrero (3-0, 1.52 ERA)
Saturday – RHP Tyler O'Clair (2-2, 3.38 ERA) vs. LHP Tristan Weaver (0-1, 14.40 ERA)

The Blazers are coming off a three-game series at Georgia Southern. Freshman Chandler Simpson led UAB at the plate going 7-for-14 with two doubles, three runs and three RBIs. In game two of the series, Simpson went a career-high 4-for-5.
INDIANA STATE LATELY
The Sycamores are coming off a seven-game Florida swing where they played FIU, Florida Gulf Coast and No. 20 Florida Atlantic. Over the seven games, Indiana State went 6-1, including outscoring Florida Atlantic 22-12 over three games.
