UAB Falls to Alabama 7-0

TUSCALOOSA, Ala. – The UAB women's tennis team fell in its spring opener 7-0 to Alabama on Saturday afternoon at RAB Tennis Facility.
The Tide earned the doubles point to open the match, taking 6-1 victories on courts No. 1 and No. 2, while the Blazers defaulted on No. 3.
In singles play, Sydney Clarke split the first two sets against Anna Parkhomenko 6-4 and 4-6 before falling in a breaker 1-0 (11) at No. 4 singles.
The Blazers will return to action on Saturday Jan. 29 when they travel to Atlanta for a matchup with Georgia Tech.
