Overseas Update: Fahro Alihodžic

Former UAB center Fahro Alihodžić recently finished up his second season with Sigal Prishtina of the Kosovo Basketball Superleague. The team is located in Prishtina in the northeastern part of Kosovo.
During the 2019-20 season, Alihodžić led Sigal to a first place finish with an 18-6 record. In 22 games, Alihodžić averaged a double-double of 16.1 points and 10.9 rebounds per game while shooting 58.2 percent from the field.
In four games in the FIBA Europe Cup, Alihodžić averaged 17.0 points and 13.0 rebounds per contest.
Prior to Sigal, Alihodžić played Belgium, Greece, Argentina and Hungary.
Alihodžić arrived in Birmingham after playing at Fordham followed by one year at Southeastern Iowa CC. In two seasons with the Blazers, Alihodžić played in 64 games, making 58 starts. As a junior, Alihodžić averaged 9.7 points per game while shooting 47.4 percent.
His senior season, he averaged 8.8 points per game while recording double-doubles against Rutgers, Troy and LA Tech. In the Blazers 63-59 victory over North Carolina, Alihodžić pulled down a game-high 13 rebounds.
