BIRMINGHAM Ala.– UAB men's basketball head coach Andy Kennedy has announced the addition of Antallah Sandlin'el from Lincoln, Nebraska.
"Glad to have Antallah join Blazer Basketball," Kennedy said. "Ant is a stretch forward capable of adding a multitude of dimensions to our frontcourt. His 43% shooting from three-point range last year at South Plains shows his ability to stretch the floor, and at 6-foot-8 with a 6-foot-11 wingspan, we believe he can come in and be an immediate contributor to our program."
Sandlin'el most recently spent one season at South Plains College in Levelland, Texas. He averaged 12.7 points per game (14.7 in conference play) and five rebounds while shooting 50% from the field, 43% from three-point range and 81% from the free-throw line.
The forward flourished at the junior college level, rising to No. 7 in the nation in the JUCORecruiting.com rankings. He earned Second Team All-America, First Team All-Conference and First Team All-Region honors during the 2025-26 season.
Prior to South Plains, Sandlin'el attended Robert Morris, where he redshirted as a freshman before appearing in nine games during his sophomore season. He played 79 minutes, totaling 40 points and 18 rebounds.
A 6-foot-8 forward from Lincoln, Nebraska, Sandlin'el played his high school basketball at Lincoln North Star High School. As a senior, he averaged 17.4 points and 9.1 rebounds per game while earning Nebraska Coaches Association All-State Super State honors.
Sandlin'el becomes the 12th addition to UAB's 2026 signing class, joining high school prospects Jakobi Sharp, Korie Corbett and Kaleb Davis; junior college transfers Tim Holliday and Matt Mbole; and Division I transfers Jeremy Elyzee, Deuce Jones, Justyn Fernandez, TJ Caldwell, Aleks Alston and Elijah Duval.
