UAB Soccer Programs Announce Inaugural “Kickin’ It With The Blazers”

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB men's and women's soccer programs have announced the inaugural "Kickin' it With the Blazers" experience on Sunday, August 18th. This free event will be held at the newly renovated BBVA Field and will give fans a chance to meet the players and coaches from both teams as well as get autographs. Additionally, there will be a clinic and scrimmage where kids will play alongside current UAB soccer athletes.
Gates will open at 2:30 p.m. and the event will commence at 3:00 p.m. and last approximately two hours.
Free shirts will be given to the first 200 youths in attendance.
"One of the benefits of living in a city with passion for soccer like Birmingham is having opportunities such as these," said men's head coach Jeff Kinney. "We are looking forward to working with the players and getting to know our fans and families."
Women's head coach Erica Demers said, "We are thrilled for this event to kick off an exciting Fall 2019 season! The players and staff are looking forward to combining with our men's program to host our Blazer soccer fans!"
Season tickets for both the men's and women's programs are on sale by purchasing the 2019-20 Gold Card for $65. The Gold Card is an exclusive offer that grants you admission into all UAB men's and women's soccer, volleyball, women's basketball, baseball and softball events for the upcoming academic year.
