UAB Cheerleading Announces Tryout Dates for 2019-2020

BIRMINGHAM – The UAB Cheerleading program has announced the dates of its clinic and tryouts that will take place over the duration of the spring semester.
Both the clinic and tryouts will take place at the UAB Campus Recreation Center. The UAB Cheer Clinic date is set for April 7 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. and the cost for the one-day event is $55.
The clinic is open to full-time UAB students – including college transfers from other programs – in addition to high school athletes grades 9-12.
Current Blazer cheerleaders will provide a glimpse into the inner workings of the UAB Cheer program and also answer general questions about college cheerleading. Additionally, the cheerleaders will display their talents and simultaneously expose attendees to the college environment.
The clinic serve as prep for the open tryouts that will be held May 11-12 at the Campus Rec Center. Registration for tryouts will begin at 8:30 a.m. on May 11 and run until 5 p.m., while tryouts on May 12 run 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
UAB Cheer participants should be prepared to not only exhibit their cheerleading skills but should also prep for an interview and a gameday tryout. More tryout information can be found by clicking here.
