Senior Salute: Jalen Perry

UAB is recognizing the senior class of 2019 this week. Today Jalen Perry is featured.

UAB welcomed Jalen Perry to Birmingham in April 2017. The Louisville native began his collegiate career at Logan Junior College in Carterville, Ill. He had immediate success, leading the Vols to back-to-back 24-win campaigns. Perry improved his scoring by 49 percent from his freshman to sophomore seasons (13.1 ppg to 19.5 ppg).

After two seasons at Logan, Perry signed with UAB. In his first year with the Blazers, he contributed immediately, playing in all 33 games, averaging 7.5 ppg off the bench while helping the Blazers reach the 20-win mark.

In his senior season, Perry started 30 of UAB's 35 games and averaged 11.1 points per game. He scored in double-figures 23 times including a career-best 23 points against Arkansas Monticello. Perry aided the Blazers to their second consecutive 20-win season and a postseason berth in the CBI.

Perry is majoring in business.
