BIRMINGHAM – The UAB baseball team is set to host two mid-week games as it welcomes No. 18 Auburn and Alabama A&M to the Magic City. The Blazers host the Tigers (18-2, 3-0 SEC) on Tuesday night at Regions Field with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m. before returning to campus to play Alabama A&M (5-16, 5-4 SWAC) on Wednesday at Young Memorial Field. First pitch against the Bulldogs is also set for 6:30 p.m.
UAB (10-10, 0-3 C-USA) is paced offensively by Colton Schultz, who leads the team with four home runs, 28 hits and 25 RBI, while also ranking first on the team with 78 at-bats. The Blazers are paced in batting average by junior outfielder Zack Davis, who enters the week hitting .379 while also having notched six doubles and 14 RBI on the campaign.
