BIRMINGHAM – Looking to build off of a successful 2018 season, the UAB women's soccer program has announced the signing of midfielder transfer Stella Kiss head coach Erica Demers announced on Wednesday.
Kiss comes to UAB after having spent the 2018 season at Auburn where she appeared in seven games and logged 174 minutes of action. She recorded her first career point with an assist in the Tigers' 4-1 win against LSU, while also registering a pair of shots with one of frame during her freshman campaign.
"Stella, a Hungarian native, is a player that we had a previous report with in her recruiting process and is a person that we firmly believe in," Demers said. "We are thrilled that she made the decision to transfer to UAB and we look forward to her growth as a student-athlete."
A native of Kecsked, Hungary, Kiss was a member of the Hungarian National Team in multiple age groups and helped the 17U team reach the Elite Group in 2015. She totaled 44 points on 14 goals and 16 assists while representing her country.
Kiss, who becomes the 10th signee for the 2019 class, can play immediately as ruled by the NCAA.
